Union City Housing Authority does NOT have a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. UCHA offers the Low-income Public Housing Program in Union City to individuals and families.
Rent
All rent is due on the 1st day of each month. Residents have until the 10th day of the month to pay rent without a late fee. If the 10th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday residents have until the next working day to pay without a late fee. We no longer accept cash. We accept money orders, checks payable to Union City Housing Authority and credit card payments. Payments are accepted at the main office Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is closed from 12:00-1:00 for lunch. After hours payments may be placed in the drop box located outside the front door of the office.
Changes in income or family composition
Residents must report changes in income or family composition within 10 days of the event. UCHA used a system called Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) provided by HUD that contains employment and income information of individuals that participate in HUD rental assistance programs.
Reasonable Accommodations
Union City Housing Authority does not discriminate based on disability in the admission to, or operation of programs, services, or activities. Qualified residents who need accessible communication aids and services or other accommodation to participate in programs and activities are invited to make your needs and preferences known. It is the policy of UCHA to make every effort possible to provide reasonable accommodations feasible.
Pest Control Services
Pest control services are provided by an outside contractor. The regular schedule for pest control is bi-monthly on the fourth Tuesday. All residents are required to allow pest control to enter their unit. If you should need additional service, please contact the UHCA office at 731.885.1971 option 2.
Parking
All residents must have a parking permit on their vehicle. All vehicles must be registered and updated yearly in the resident’s name. Any unregistered or inoperable vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense. Vehicles should be parked in designated parking areas and never in the grass, yards, or driveways to the parking lots.
